I am a woman , a mother, a caregiver to my grandmother whom I dedicate my first album to**Ms.Loretta V Martin. Now I'm shooting for my dreams. I fell in love with rap when i was 9, I saw Roxanne Shonte spit and I went crazy. I told my dad I can do that, so by the 3rd time I saw her video I knew all the words. I got my name Starr Loc when I was 18, from my ex-boyfriend which he's now serving time. He helped develop what was all ready in me. A beast!!! When I was first born I was taken from my mom and put in the system with my oldest sister. We pretty much moved around alot, just like the children still do to this day. My grandmother found me and took care of me.
I was raised in a house with 4 grown ass men. My father and his bothers, my uncles. The pimp, the gansta, the killa and the old fashion one, they taught me alot and so did the streetz. I lived in almost everyones hood and went to damn near every school, from Watts to Compton to Inglewood, Hawthorne, Culver City and Long Beach,but I found loved by my big homies nutty boy, lil kev mac, big kev mac, scooter, gooch, cuzzy, mama, joker,stics, tk, roscoe ,elbow peanut, and long list of other homies. I'd belong on the corner bloccs of slauson with them boys with guns. Of course everyone has a story just like mine or something like it.
At 21 I was highly favored to have met 2Pac, and truly blessed to get that once in the life time experience. I met him once and the same day we went to the studio and recorded the song "Die". That sat my heart on fire. I knew I had something great inside of me that needed to be recorded on cd. No money no music no cd. Hungry and thirsty I made some with my bestfriend, Obssession,. She was the one that introduced me to Mr.Maqus and he introduced us to 2Pac. If I nevered told either one of you, thank you for that, Real big, kisses*** Obssession!! I'm not prommised to make it in this business, I make music my business an I'm working hard, staying focused on what I want and what I don't want.You dig!!! I still got it dont trip, just listen the music it speak for itself!!! Thats why I'm glad I got this chance to tell my story on what I go thru or been thru. It's because of 2pac that I got a name in this bizz and to show him my thanks I'm picking up the torch ! Now I'm back in the game at 32 with nothing to lose, I Thank You 2Pac for seeing something in me that shined I'll love you always and forever. A rose grown from concrete!! THATS YOU AND ME **
6 months later with my mothers blessing, meaning her opinoin was the only one that counts. I stepped up to another part of the game, it went hand to hand with rap . I made my first video, a porn star was born!! One year and 10 movies later I learned fast, that wasn't were the moneys at, so the pornstar had retired. I had to make a choice which was my career or my son. You know the business. I chose to raise my son. He is 18 now, time fly. So its time for me to get bacc on my grind and this time the world is mine!!!!
