About Me

I'm a pretty easy-going girl. I like to be creative whenever I can (painting, drawing, writing, sculpting, etc). However, I'm studying to be a teacher someday, hopefully 4th or 5th grade. Since graduating from Cal Poly Pomona (about a year ago), I've been going to grad school and getting my masters and multiple subject credential, which should be completed by the end of fall '07. I also just recently got accepted to APU so that I can also attain my special education credential, which I should complete by the end of spring '08...Whooo! I'll be so happy to be done!!! When I'm not studying, painting, or working, I like to hang out and relax! My absolute favorite thing to do is to shoot pool and ride roller coasters, which sadly, I have not been able to enjoy lately :( Overall, I enjoy a good laugh and having a good time ********************************************

My Interests

painting, drawing, sculpting... anything creative. I enjoy hanging out with my man, Tony Koehl, and creating art (yes I know, we're art nerds!) I also love playing pool!

New untitled piece, done in watercolor with pen detail (4"x 6")..."Desire" was done using a whole lot of things (frame is 5"x7")...This one's called, "Price of Admission" and was done in watercolors (4"x6")...My scary monster, "Aargh!", done in markers

Music:

From classical to death metal, I can pretty much listen to everything. I'm also a big Elvis Presley fan, but not one of those that still believe he's alive and can't get over the fact that he's dead type of fan. I would have to say that my favorite Elvis songs are "Burning Love", "Promised Land", and "Bossa Nova Baby".

Movies:

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Braveheart, Amorres Perros, Signs, Poltergeist, Jean de Florette & Manon de la Source, Billy Madison, The Dark Crystal, Big Fish, The Usual Suspects, Seven, Gladiator, Honeymoon in Vegas, Reservoir Dogs, Finding Nemo ...too many good movies to list...

Television:

I hate the fact that TV sucks all the motivation and creative juice out of me, but I can't help myself from being sucked into it every once in a while, especially if it's CSI or PBS...

Books:

Children's books...Shel Silverstein is my all time favorite...

Heroes:

My Dad, my brother, my boyfriend... anyone who has shown strong perserverence and motivation to reach their goals in life.
