     Let's start with that I'm a French-Canadian who is greatly interested in many things. First of all, I'm a self-confessed major science fiction geek, especially "Star Trek", "Star Wars", "X-Men", "Firefly/Serenity", "The Matrix", the "Dune" series, both movie and books, among many others. I also like fantasy, especially the British greats like C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling. I'm also very much a fan of Marvel in general as well as things like "The Addams Family" and "For Better or for Worse". Good adventure stories, particularly series like Indiana Jones and Tintin are also among things I like. I'm also a big fan of Michael Moore and others who are trying to say what he's trying to say. I'm also a big fan of comedy like SNL and SCTV and its offshoots like "Strange Brew", "Wayne's World" and "Stuart Saves His Family". I also LOVE 80s cartoons and a fair chunk of anime (as long as it's not overly violent or degrading to women, I guess I am what the Japanese call an "otaku"). Puppeteering and The Muppets is also something I'm pretty interested in. I am absolutely crazy about the Canadian family show from the 80s "Today's Special", and hope that one day it will be reissued in some way. I'm also a big fan of French-based cross- media series like "Madeline" and "Babar". When I'm in a mood especially, I like good slapstick comedy. I particularly enjoy almost anything with Jim Carrey or Jerry Lewis. I also really like musicals, especially "The Phantom of the Opera" and anything to do with "The Wizard of Oz". Cultures and languages are also things I am keenly interested in. In addition to being fluent in several forms of French, I have also been in the process of learning Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and American Sign Language. Leftist politics is also something I am very much passionate about, as is spirituality from many angles (although I am as my profile states a liberal Catholic) and trying to makes oneself better by searching for something greater is something that always engages me.
