Carl Wicker, born in Brighton 1975, has been involved in the UK dance music industry from an early age. Working as a DJ/Producer since the early 1990's he now spends most of his time producing tracks under the name 'Beaky'. Carl now works for Critical Rhythm (Baroque Records, Baroque Ltd, Wild Child & Method Recordings) and RecoverWorlds' Supreme Music Publishing (Discover Records, Discover Dark, Flux Delux, Flux Grooves, Recover, Eve Records & Iconise Electronica), working along side Chris Hampshire, John Askew, John O'Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Tenthu, Bryan Kearney, Jon O'Bir, Shiloh, Thomas Datt, Stefano Greppi, Simon Eve, Matt Hardwick & James Talk to name a few.
Outside of work hours Carl is dedicates his time to the UK Minimal scene alongside close friend Lee Smith and his infamous Kliks parties at Audio in Brighton. Carl has recently started Iconise Electronica, a record label with old allies from the music industry. Watch out for the first release coming soon.
Carl used to work as an animator for a London design agency, interactive TV designer for ITV, senior designer for USwebCKS in Brussels. His passion for the arts made him gave up his london career to follow his dream to learn about photography and printmaking.
