Kliks was born in 2003 out of long-running Brighton techno night Hideout, when three of that club’s promoters - Lee Smith, Mark Lerman and Tom Ridsdale - decided that a new night was needed to showcase the emerging sounds of Europe-based ’minimal’ house and techno.
Starting in Club Mango (now Engine Rooms) with an unforgettable set from Kompakt’s Tobias Thomas, it became clear that Kliks was on to a good thing, preceeding the current minimal hype by some years. The club soon moved up to Audio, Brighton’s leading quality club venue, where we remain today.
Responsible over the years for numerous UK debuts from a wide, global range of artists, Kliks present legendary names from the scene alongside exciting new acts and DJs who we believe should be heard. Check back soon for gig updates, resident and guest mixes, pics, and other Kliks-related treats...
