Torpid

Soon after ,TORPID worked towards new songs and new material and ultimately started finding their musical path. Then came the big break. All were destined to go and record with Rock Producer Guru Steve Albini in Chicago at the legendary “Electrical Audio Studios”. This was the first big step towards a goal achievement within the band's history.Simon had just recently joined TORPID and within the first year, Torpid not only managed to play numerous gigs but also got their act together to write the new album. It was the first real reel recording Torpid had ever been confronted with and the analogic methods used by Steve Albini, were in fact exactly what made the music flourish.During the recordings nine songs were put together to set up the newest achievement called “Fraiseman”. This was a challenge to be beaten as all songs were entirely recorded live with almost no overdub or edits. This album is now to be released and distributed by “Bang”.
