Since january 2004, the sound of Metro with its groovy rocking drums, melodic bass lines, killer guitar riffs and new wave pop vocals is favourably compared to british bands like Cure, XTC, Futureheads or Maximo Park. But after close inspection US-influences can also be spotted such as Dinosaur Jr, Broken Social Scene or the Pixies. In their still young career Metro have played different well known events and festivals like Popkomm(D), Eurosonic (NL), Bucolique Festival (B) , Rock-a–Field or Out of the Crowd (LUX). Furhermore Metro have shared the stage with international acts such as Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, The Rakes, I am X, Girls in Hawaii, Montevideo, My little Cheap Dictaphone, Showstar, Barra Head, Horror the Horror, Gentleman, Red Sparowes, Maserati, Ostinato, Thee More Shallows, Get the People, Shitdisco, Giant Metal or Les Anges.
