About Me

Write in Hebrew with ChaiSpace.commy name is Michael aka "Clyde" and I have relocated to Joplin from Springfield MO. I am a fiddler who focuses mainly on Celtic folk and bluegrass styles, but I'm also beginning to explore the world of Roma (gypsy) fiddle particularly in the areas of Greece, Macadonia, Romania, and Hungary. Music is a passion in my life that I enjoy sharing with others, I play viola, violin, guitar, Irish penny/low whistles, bodhran, African drums, and doumbek. I live a fairly simple life and prefer to keep things as simple as possible to keep things stress free. You can usually find me in the woods, near a river, or just somewhere outdoors away from the big cities, I do however hang out a lot in downtown springfield playing drum or fiddle on the sidewalks so feel free to come chill on a weekend or something. I also spin fire poi when I get the chance and I'm always looking for people to teach me new tricks or who just wanna get together and spin for a night. I love all things relating to Ireland and plan on moving to Donegal at some point in life. Other than that I enjoy writing and meeting new people. Ahava Echad/ One Love! *** bands or individuals who want a session or studio fiddler or percussionist send me a message via myspace let me know and we'll work out a price. I usually charge by the hour for studio and just a flat rate for session, amount is negotiable depending on your situation. I am able to teach beginning to intermediate violin and viola lessons at a rate of $20 per hour if interested message me. ***
