The Sonic Sidhe Tribe encompasses two overlapping groups of performers. The full Tribe consists of tribal drums, guitars, a melody instrument, and singers, with occasional fire performers. For Renaissance Festivals the Tribe is pared down to tribal drums, a melody instrument, and fire performers.
The Tribe was created in 2004 under the alias “Whiskey for Breakfastâ€. The following year, after the decision to get more serious about performances; the Tribe changed its’ name to the Sonic Sidhe Tribe.
In August of 2007, a few members of the Tribe had finally saved up enough money and into the recording studio they went. After about 30 hours of recording, their debut album “The Source†was finished and ready to be sold.
In present day, the Tribe has stepped up their game once again. They’ve done this by adding fire to the show, purchasing a full PA system for on the road travel, and has spent the last 8 months playing a minimum of 3 shows a month.
