"the name of the wind" by Patrick Rothfuss - AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! this book had me enraptured and enthralled the entire time i read it - DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!
"the sundering" series by jacqueline carey - very well written, GREAT two-part series.
"shadowfall" by james clemens - this book RULES, it's one of those where you can see it unfolding in your head like a movie. highly recommended! his "Wit'ch" series is dope too.
"charlotte sometimes", by penelope farmer - EXCELLENT! robert smith based the song on it, yes. msg me for details.

comics:
of course, i got the standard - x-men (whichever of the x-men books happens to have an artist that i like). other monthlies include: Conan, Red Sonja, Batgirl (R.I.P.!), the new Jim Lee Batman and Robin series, New Avengers, Young Avengers, more that i can't think of right now coz of a brain freeze. anything by Josh Howard, Jim Mahfood, Jim Lee, Brian Wood, i'm feeling Kristian's art right now as well, Chynna Clugston-Major (the BEST soundtracks!) . . .
