TEST RUN MY NEW ILLUSION "LASER FICTION"
I have been busy building some new illusions and I thought I would let out a small video clip of something I have been working on...I tested it out at the Magic Castle, the Kodak and my Envisioneer Tour...and the response was incredible...Tell me what you think...and let me know what you would want to see...and I'll do my best to build that too. =) Seriously, I want you to go nuts with suggestions...and I'll try to build it....I love the challenge. I'll be leaving this clip up for only a bit...I hope you enjoy.

PLEASE ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF...
Hi...I'm Jason Latimer.
I create illusions. =) I try my best to provide live high tech special and visual effects to theatre. No more rabbits out of hats and no more sawing a woman in half...Its time for the art of magic to evolve.
As a performer, I have been in the art of magic my entire life. I had the pleasure of being “raised by a pack of wild magicians†at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California.
Their philosophy of what it takes to make magic more than just a trick and my education gave me the right foundation for developing truly new illusions. Simply put, this is my passion. I love to build dreams. My creations over the years for the magic community eventually led to an invitation to represent the United States at the World Championships of Magic in Europe. Fifteen hundred contestants from forty-seven countries around the world competed in what is best described as the "Olympics of Magic." And now...I have the distinct honor of being only the third American in history to ever be titled the "Grand Prix Best Overall World Champion of Magic," behind the names of Johnny Ace Palmer and Lance Burton.
Off-stage, I have created a special effects studio for live theatre. My workshop and team can build anything...and we do. Nothing is impossible. With roughly 4,000 square feet of building space...there are no limits to our imagination. In fact I have built a little less than 8,000lbs of state of the art magic for my own show as a true display of technology and illusion. My personal live stage show includes everything from the manipulation of light like a solid object, to large scale car appearances, to the actual shaping of water =), even a full scale rotating stage with a full scale levitation that rotates at the same speed (I was going for the cinematic effect of "Matrix"...you have to see that live...its intense!) plus a lot more... Effects that are best described as "Magic for the 21st Century" – Daily News. ...and I promise if I have the opportunity this is just the beginning.
When I am not performing, I work "behind closed doors" as an illusion designer, consultant, and builder. I have created live special effects for many magicians, illusionist, opening scenes for concerts, and live theatre for shows in over 40 countries. As a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara in fields of Mathematics, Economics, and Physics I have found my passion to blend technology, illusion, and visual art. With the help of engineers, machinists, physicists, artists, psychologists, and other professionals from all over the nation I have created a team of highly motivated individuals...that truly understand that the idea of being impossible is...merely just an opinion.

...SO WHERE AM I NOW?
First of all, I would like to thank all of you for the emails requesting about my performances. Sorry I "disappeared" on everyone. My schedule is rather intense, to say the least, it has been difficult to manage all the changes in my performances and schedule. After being on tour for the earlier part of this year around the United States and a few international stops around the world...I have now moved to the edge of the earth...Alaska. I have signed with Holland America as one of the main production shows of their newest and largest ship, the Vista Class ms Noordam for the entire season of 20 weeks. My Envisioneer show is featured twice a week debuting new illusions every chance I get... Every week the ship leaves Seattle, WA and travels all through the Inside Passage of Alaska. The ms Noordam provided a theatre that seats over a thousand people with a massive rotating stage (even though I brought my own =)), three hydraulic lifts, a 30ft LED screen back drop, plus so many other features I could not list them all...I could not pass up the opportunity to make Envisioneer truly become a blend of magic, illusion, and technology. Due to my situation of living on board I have internet only through satellite (which is not the fastest) and poor reception as for phone contact, but I will do my best to respond to everyone. Every year Jason comes back to the Magic Castle of Hollwood, CA. And so can you! ...just add to this page and recieve your invitation whenever Latimer returns to the Magic Castle. Latimer will be performing the close up sleight of hand routines that gave him the privilege of being titled the Grand Prix World Champion of Magic. The Magic Castle is best described as the Disneyland for adults. It is a converted Victorian Mansion on the hills that overlook Hollywood. It sits on 7001 Highland Ave. as a private club for members and their guest to showcase the performers from all around the world in three main styles of magic. The Magic Castle is an extremely rare situation, it does not get any closer than this, see live what the Daily News describes as "mind-blowing miracles in your face." And every night that week you have a chance to see it live, up close, and personal. Remember since seating is extremely limited in each performance please make your reservations ASAP when you get the invite.
The Magic Castle is an INVITATION ONLY entertainment and restaurant. Under the special circumstances provided by Latimer and the Magic Castle, this type of mass invite is allowed. Reservations for the only the week Latimer's performances will be accepted with the use of this invitation. IT'S MAGIC! 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW
