Formed in late 2005 with the sole purpose of delivering their own brand of hard gritty tunes and stage dynamics to anyone that would listen and observe. Tonk has totally embraced their acceptance into the Australian music arena and in 2007 launched their critically acclaimed album: ‘Sister Switchblade’.
This album’s songs defined the harder edges of life and the harder edges of rock and, that done, the guys are now looking to bring some additional depth to their rock stories with new live material and some extended touring .
Tonk have shared the stage with: Airbourne,The Butterfly Effect, Gyroscope, Shihad, Grinspoon, Mammal, Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool,MM9, Screaming Jets and Jimmy Barnes to name drop a few.
