Me The Conqueror was formed in late 2001...
In 2002 MTC released “Two Songs” featuring “Lo-Fi” and “Yorke”. Recorded at Milk Bar Studios with producer Paul McKercher. “Lo-Fi” was picked up by Triple J as one of their Next Crop Artists. Through ABC’s Four Minute Wonders comp the awesome film clip for “Lo-Fi” (Pest Control) was made.
MTC played a bunch of shows.... Including support slots local and interstate for Grinspoon, 28Days, The Butterfly Effect, Spiderbait, Full Scale, Jerk, Alchemist and COG. MTC played alongside The Superjesus The Von Bondies, Something For Kate, Groove Armada, Rocket Science, The Beautiful Girls and others at Stonefest 2004.
In 2005 MTC started recording their debut EP.... Disaster hit during the recording process with the band parting company with vocalist Chris and the project was left sitting in limbo for 3years!!!
We are now proud to announce we have reconcilled with Chris and have completed the tracking of the disc with mixing masterfully done by Mr Phill McKellar.This new/old 5track ep is due for release mid 2008...
Following the release of the "Sleeping Alone" Ep the band has reformed with 2 x new members: On vocals, Matt Faulkner and on Drums, Tristan Davies. New writing has commenced and a few shows booked...watch this space.
