Born Clifton Carl Chambers Jr., better known as DJ Sleepy Hollow, is primed and ready to lead his new record label Final Fantasy Recordings to the top of the rap game and become the next big thing to emerge out of Detroit. Hollow is a classically trained music major, attending Miles University & Macomb Community College for 2 years, studying music fundamentals. With a knowledge and ability to play the trumpet, baritone, and alto saxophone, Sleepy has mixed this with his tutelage under legendary Detroit Producer/Engineer Iv Duncan, to craft a well oiled machined versed in the essence of production and musical creation. For you tech heads, Hollow is also fully versed in Pro Tools + HD/LE and analogue digital mixing, adding to his claim that he is bar none one of the best producers Detroit has ever seen. His production and mixing credits include Big Herk, Cash Kola, K.I.D.D., Lazarus, T.I., DJ Toomp, MC Breed, D Boyz, Boot Leg, Dayton Family, Supa (from Squad Up) and did the score on the upcoming Detroit based movie Another Heist. With a diverse lineup of talent covering all spectrums of urban music, Hollows Final Fantasy Recordings is in position to make an impressive mark upon the hip hop music world. Representing the everyday struggle, artists like Jhay Truitt paint vivid pictures of life and the quest to just get by and live in these trying times. Young Gene mans his position as the voice of the youth in Final Fantasy, combining street savy and a strong sense of business, with sharp metaphors and witty punchlines. Embodying the true essence of hip hop, the group Jestaul possesses uncanny lyrical ability, consciously tinged subject matter, and a flair for creativity lacking in todays music. In addition to a stellar rap line-up, Hollow has discovered the soul stylings of R&B sensations James Tait and Candice. Future artists figuring to be prominent on the label include B.A.D. Newz and femcee Stori.
