Born and raised on Detroit’s westside, J. Truitt grew up learning street savy from his Father and Uncles who were hustlers, con-artist, pimps, and drug dealers. His Mother worked hard everyday to try and keep him away from that life style but couldn’t keep him away once divorcing his father when Truitt was 11 yrs old. Working long days, she wasn’t able to keep and eye on Young Truitt, with that beening said, he headed to the same life that he was oh so familiar with selling drugs and hanging with the street type. Not satisfied with the life of selling drugs Truitt decided to try something different, something that his Uncle and Mother use to tell him to always do, and that is go out and get you a job and hustle on the side. So thats what he did, went out and found him a job and hustled on the side. Doing so he dropped out of school in the 11th grade went out and hustled hard and worked even harder. Buying a Mercedes Benz by the age of 17, it seemed Young Truitt was well on his way to being successful. Writing raps for fun never thinking of actually being a rapper, he ran into a young man by the name of Subliminal who became one of Truitt’s closes friends who Truitt says" is the most creative rapper in the city that he ever met, encouraged Truitt to take his rap styles to the next level and see what happens. But Truitt who’s love for money and his busy schedule of working and hustling, put rap on the back burner and did it whenever the opportunity was convienant for him. Then one day Truitt’s little cousin (Dj SleepyHollow) came to him and said i can make beats and rap, and that they should do a song together after that everything else is history...
