i love all kinds of music. especially unique. i listen to the heart behind the song. Influences? Movies:

too many to put here - one that always cheers me up is Legally Blonde - but i love movies that make you think like Ocean's Eleven and Twelve and Inside Man. i absolutely will not watch horror movies. it's the story of the movie that captures me. i love stories!

Television:

i like lots of things - what i watch the most are sitcoms of families. not perfect families, but families where it is safe to tell how you feel, where they work out problems into solutions, and it is safe to make mistakes to a certain degree. it is very therapeutic for me. i also like shows like survivor, amazing race, the apprentice - i like to observe the human element - what types of choices people make when they are put in various situations. it is interesting they don't always make the right choice, but everytime, their true heart is revealed.

Heroes:

i love David in the Bible. He was a man who made every mistake in the book - He was a murderer, and a liar, and stole another man's wife. Yet he is forever remembered as a man after God's own heart. He didn't EVER give up. He kept going after God and his destiny in life - even though he screwed up, even though there were days he wanted to give up, even though there were days when many people were after his very life, he didn't GIVE UP.i also love the story of joseph. he went through soooo much. his family hated him and his destiny, he was sold into slavery by his brothers, he tried to do the right thing by his employer's wife and not love her, and he was thrown into prison for it. this was a man who did everything right and for a time, everyone hated him for it. but in a matter of one day, he went from the bottom of the crap pile to second in command in the most powerful nation in the world at that time, and he finally got to put his talents and destiny to use. he even forgave his family for what they did and didn't do. now, that's my hero. my life is nearly identical to joseph and what he had to go through. i've been abandoned by my family (physical and christian family), my disability is like being a slave, and at this point, i am imprisoned by my circumstances of life. but i don't feel i have license to not forgive or to get bitter. i have set myself that the Lord will avenge my enemies and everything that has been stolen from me. i will be paid back, but by the LORD himself. It is impossible for my family to right the wrongs they have done to me. I don't want them to pay me back. I will get it from the LORD. He will have the best justice possible. And my heart is satisfied with that.
