About Me

I am a highly competitive, very independent, seriously silly, crazy (just cut in front of me in line , take my chair away, or mess with one of my friends or family members to see this), type A person. I appear to be on the quiet side to keep myself from getting into trouble. Some mistake me for being shy, but that is not the case. Lately I have found myself living quite an eventful life full of lots of activity.Proud new member of the Texas Rollergirls' Honky Tonk Heartbreakers team.

My Interests

roller derby, speedskating, weight training, Las Vegas, singing with the radio, Dr. Pepper, playing cards, reading, cooking and spending time with friends Next Bout: Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! July 1

Does plaid really impart special powers to the Hell Marys? And can they use those powers to conquer the spawns of Satan, the Dallas Derby Devil all-stars?

And when the wily purple and silver divas, a.k.a. the Hustlers take on the rip roarin' rodeo sweethearts, a.k.a. the Honky Tonk Heartbreakers, who will win the day?

These questions and many more will be answered on Sunday! at Playland . Get yer tickets now ... just $12 for kick-ass rock 'n' rollerderby, live music, and the most entertaining entertainment ever.

And speaking of live music, we've got the good stuff for ya. Kicking off the show (after DJ El Jefe spins some righteous discs) are The Sweethearts , punk rock with just the right touch of sugar. And at half-time, more kickass Austin punk rock from Kepi and the K-Bats... featuring Kepi Ghoulie from the Groovie Ghoulies and members of the Little Medusas.

Our Spotlight Charity this month is the Caring Family Network , a not-for-profit child placement agency serving abused and neglected children of Texas. The Texas Rollergirls have a rule: when someone gets knocked down (on purpose or otherwise), you give 'em a hand up. Now it's your turn to reach out a helping hand to kids who could use your help.

We're collecting donations of school supplies and backpacks for the 2007 academic year. The supplies will be distributed to kids through Caring Family Network, so bring school supplies to the bout on July 1. Stuff that's needed: loose leaf paper, spiral notebooks, folders, construction paper, pens/pencils, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, crayons, glue sticks, rulers, scissors, etc.

I'd like to meet:

Ninjas, Pirates, Coyotes, Rockers, Rollergirls and other badasses who can hold their own. I am lucky to be surrounded by so many of them already.

Music:

All kinds of music played loud.

Movies:

I love comedies and action movies the best. I love to laugh and be surprised by what I am watching (that rarely happens, but I still have hope). On the shallow side, if there are handsome men, good car chases, fights and explosions, I will probably like that too.

Television:

I don't watch often. When I do watch tv, it is usually sports or music related.

Books:

Books on investing, power and literature.

Heroes:

My Parents. They are the strongest people I have ever known. I miss them greatly.
