Near My Evil (aka N.M.E) is a metal band that is straight up in your face and raw. A band that does not give in to current trends or gimmicks. A hard hitting quintet from Kenosha Wisconsin and Round Lake Illinois that is out for one purpose, one mission, to get it's music heard by the masses. The band first started in 2002 with guitarist Jamie and Paul, and drummer Bryan. The band focused on writing music when in mid 2003 they picked up bass player Cruz. Then in late 2003 the bands line up was completed with vocalist Mike. Since early 2004 the band has been focusing on building a fan bases and promoting it's music throughout the region by constant touring. And also worked hard to complete it's upcoming full length album. Throughout the year 2004 the band managed to survive many external and internal problems, with the original lineup, music, and drive for it's music still well intact.In early 2005 the band tried to reinvent itself. By this time the band had written 12 songs with some of it's best material written yet. Better song structure and more in depth lyrics were brought to the table in songs such as "Unjustifiable Homicide" and "Patiently Watching Them Bleed". The band has just dropped a 5 song EPand is releasing the full length album later this fall. Come check out Near My Evil as they leave a nasty scar on the music scene. The band has had the honor of sharing the stage with Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, Diecast, Love Is Red, Autumn Offering, Dry Kill Logic, Superjoint Ritual,The Heavils, Six Feet Under, Internal Bleeding, Meshuggah, God Forbid, The Haunted, Premonitions of War, Bloodsimple, Throwdown, SoulFly, Children Of Bodom, Trivium, Amon Amarth, Darkest Hour, Poison The Well, Shadows Fall, Bury Your Dead and Misery Signals. And has also played at The Rave in Milwaukee Wisconsin, The Forest Hill Lodge in Rockford Illinois, and The Rock & Rack in Round Lake, Illinois.
