Monkmeat

Monkmeat, food for the soul.

About Me

A five piece eclectic rock band from Ithaca, NY, Monkmeat is modern rock, funky and danceable. Monkmeat is food for thought. A spiritual outlet for the 21st century. Modest Mouse meets J.R. "Bob" Dobbs. And within the inner most chamber of their sacred temple, Monkmeat lives, writing their music for the hearts and minds of Ithaca and beyond.
In just over one year, Monkmeat has become a very popular local group in the Ithaca and surrounding area. Opening for the likes of Drums and Tuba, Steve Wynn & The Miracle Three and J-san & The Analogue Sons has garnered them their share of respect, exposure and many new friends. Monkmeat's high energy stage show and eclectic music format has convinced even the most stubborn skeptics. This band has what it takes to get audiences moving and grooving.
