About Me

“clever lyrics... one of the finest new songwriters around” The Metro - - - - "beautifully-scuplted lyrics and haunting melodies, with many of his tunes wonderfully augmented by Michael on percussion." Tunnel Vision - - - “Graham Allcott and his band...provide a bigger sound...and rounded off the evening in style with an accomplished set which kept the happy punters swaying til the very end. If he is unsigned, it’s hard to believe he will be for much longer...truly special” Rob Bell, BBC - - -Hi, i’m Graham Allcott, an acoustic singer/songwriter. I sometimes write about love and loss, and I sometimes write about changing the clocks in Peru. But usually about love and loss to be honest. I’ve been singing in bands and writing songs since I was about 16.After spending most of my life in the midlands, I’m now based in Whitechapel, East London, where we have a nice flat to escape the hustle, bustle and sirens. I have a monthly residency at the longstanding ’Bedsprings’ night, which is just up the road, and gig regularly in other London venues with my band. They consist of Smita Nath on backing vocals, Michael Williamson on Bongos, Djembe and Cajon, and Chris Ross on bass. Together we are recording our first EP, "Spring Summer", with producer and songwriter Liz Williams.
