Fay Kinitt

Live right now-- just be yourself. It doesn't matter if its good enough for someone else.

About Me

Nothing too exciting. I'm a born over-achiever with a geeky side that always seems to reveal itself. My life is organized chaos. Despite all attempts, I seem to be a drama magnet. I have a good sense of humor and can laugh 'til I cry.

My Interests

I'll try nearly anything once. Except for the stuff I would never try.

I'd like to meet:

The lottery commissioner when they present me with a huge fat check for millions of dollars. Yeah. Right.

Music:

No country. Tastes range from Neil Diamond to Linkin Park. Go figure. Love my iPod- a collection of 80s, 90s and today. Wow, I sound like a radio promo... I'd have to say that my favorite CD is probably Third Eye Blind. My favorite song? Howard Jones' "No One Is To Blame"- I know, kind of obscure...

Besides music, my radio plays Howard Stern for my morning commute. My evening commute consists mostly of Derek & Romaine. I tell ya- Sirius is some fun stuff.

Movies:

80s movies. Teen dramas (oh the angst!). You guessed it, cheesy stuff.

I like some John Waters films... Cry Baby, Hairspray, Serial Mom- although Pink Flamingos was just too much.

Other favorites, in no particular order or genre: Pumpkin, Sorority Boys, Office Space (a movie about me, though my identity was concealed to protect the innocent), Pirates of the Caribbean, From Hell, Bridget Jones... and of course no one could forget Napolean!

Television:

Sex in the City, South Park, Degrassi (I'll admit it), Daria, My So-Called Life, and I am a flaming reality show junkie to boot.

Books:

Jon Krakauer novels are a favorite. Harry Potter for the kid in me who still likes to hold on to magic- great escape from reality.

New Blog: a self-promotion, if you will

Forever and a Day [Updated 5/1]

I'm writing with a heavy heart.  I just got home from the hospital.  My grandmother, "Grandmom" as she was to me, is about to pass.  Do you know how hard it is to say goodbye when "good...

Flavor of Love? Give me a break!

First of all, how did "Flavor Flav" get his own show?  I can't be the only one who realizes what a dimwit he is.  The guy is 46 or something and acts like an adolescent sometimes.  Okay...

Pet Peeve .1,023

Something I don't get...  Why is it that people opt to advertise their entire personal life, vendettas or otherwise, in their away messages on IMs?  I have known a few people that do this a...

Good Eats, Good Friends

Had the yummiest dinner last night.  For the local folk who like a good Chinese restaurant, the reviews are in...  Szechuan House, a little place buried in a strip-mall, on the corner o...

Insomnia: Getting red. Getting sirius. Getting sleep.

I should be asleep. I have nothing profound to say.  No rants about the separation of church and state.  No commentary on the lack of creativity in the industrial world either.  I just ...

Maybe I'm being too critical...?

Okay, we've established I'm a huge dork...  No biggie.  But, I'm about to do it again.  I am going to whine about ripping off ideas; this time about two of my favorite topics- cars and ...

Stupid Observation... or long live South Park?

Has anyone else noticed that the new Johnny Knoxville movie is right out of South Park?  Sorry to say, one of my favorite episodes is when Cartman pretends he's handicapped so that he can win the...
