“I feel like Music is my life's blood," says Josh Noone, who has been playing and writing
music since he was given his first guitar at age 13. Since then, it has been a winding road filled with odd jobs, great opportunities, utter disappointment and wonderful people.
Noone's music tackles subjects from love and everyday life to important social and political issues. It’s influenced by all that he can take in, but only recently he says has he found his listening groove. "I like to go to small shows, hit open mics, and listen to local artists, because I get a lot out of this untapped market. I definitely enjoy more known acts as well." As of lately, Noone's music player is filled with the likes of Ween, Antje Duvekot, Rage Against the Machine, Damien Rice, Moller, Jack Johnson, Phallic Medallion, Rocky Vataloto, to Cypress Hill just to name a few.
Considering himself more of a live musician than one who likes to spend his time in the studio, Noone explains, "I like to play off the feedback from the crowd; I love the interaction, I love the energy! I'm drawn to the feeling in the air when you've just silenced a noisy room with a song." And with a grin and a sly smile, he adds, “It’s nice when you can get them a little rowdy too.â€
