THE BUTTERFLY PROJECT PROGRAMS
SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES 101 (See CLIP Above!)
Facilitated by Akua Auset and Judy "Anansa" Randle, wellness coach and motivational body sculptor.
This fun and inspiring session gently guides high-school age girls on a fascinating journey into the realm of soaring: soaring like superwomen and goddesses.
This event gives girls an opportunity to reflect on the day-to-day experience of the rat race of being a teen in America (parents, boyfriends, drugs, sex) and see what's possible in the realm of being a co-creator of their reality.
By way of readings, conversation, games, dance and special performances, girls walk away having insight and tools on developing themselves and their lives so that they will be happy, healthy and productive people.
These young women will discover how to work their innate power and magic.

I LOVE MUSIC!
Music is my air...God's breath.
"Music is the rod and we are Moses...bringin' God's children to the promised land." - Garnet Silk
Some of my favorites: "Nigeria" by Ugochi, "Shine" by Aswad, "So Jah Seh" and "Sun Is Shining" by Bob Marley, "Umi Says" by MOS DEF, "Gracious Mama Africa" by Dezarie, "Music is The Rod" by Garnet Silk, "Living In Love", by I Wayne, "Do You Love Me" by Jacob Miller, "Blackbird" by Dionne Farris, "Movin' Out of Babylon", One In A Billion" and Jah Is My Only" by Luciano, "Vice Versa Love" by Barrington Levy...
The exhalations of God: ASWAD, Augustus Pablo, Barrington Levy, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Cassandra Wilson, Dezarie, STEVIE WONDER, Windspirit, Zap Mama, The Soul of John Black, Jill Scott, Patti Austin, Oliver Mtukudzi, Nina Simone, vintage Michael Jackson, Luciano, Lenny Kravitz (most of the time), Kahil El'Zabar, Gino Vanelli, k.d. lang (that haunting voice), Garnet Silk, The Isley Brothers, Minnie Riperton.
I like any music that has a good heartbeat and uplifts to another place. Sometimes I listen to songs I shouldn't listen to for the beats...then I burn sage and take a spiritual bath:).
Kirikou and The Sorceress, Chocolat, The Mists Of Avalon, Akeelah and The Bee, The Corporation, The Diving Bell & The Butterfly...
I don't too much.
While I'm watchin' I could be doin' the thing I'm watchin' if I weren't watchin'. WE HAVE LIVES TO LIVE! SO LIVE!
