Biography:While growing up in North West London, Simone Elizabeth was exposed to a broad range of musical genres. The daughter of classical musicians descending from Trinidad & Tobago, Simones first experiences of singing came while studying classical performance. As a result, she pursued her training in the classical world, continuing the family tradition, finally resulting in her graduation from the Royal Academy of Music in London with a degree in classical singing. However, the influence of music as diverse as Soca, Reggae, Calypso, Hip Hop and R&B, encouraged Simone to break free from the constraints of the classical world. Through song-writing, Simone found a means by which she could fully express herself and also project her bubbly, sexy, yet sophisticated personality. She has performed her music at venues such as St Lucia Jazz Festival, alongside Eric Roberson and Liz Fields as well as at the Jazz Cafe in Camden and various London West End Clubs including Cargo, 10 Room and Capisce in Mayfair.Simone also works extensively as a songwriter, writing and recording with other artists. She secured her first songwriting deal with EMI on the release of Smujji's album "True Colours", gaining credits for both guest artist and songwriter. With her total commitment to the game and the talent to back it up, Simone is definitely a major force to be reckoned with. Watch this space......
