The band first got together to play at the Ministry of Sound nightclub and the great communication between the musicians that night inspired Nick to create a dozen new tunes. These were premiered at an event organised by London's Way Out West jazz collective and the success of this gig led to an album ("Terms and Conditions" - Zitto Music) and further performances where the band began to explore their unified artistic voice. The material has an appeal beyond the contemporary jazz scene, drawing on influences from world and classical music and encouraging each player to express himself individually. Top UK saxophonist and bandleader Tim Whitehead, writing in Jazz UK magazine, described Nick Haward as "an imaginative leader and composer with a band of stunning young players who collectively really have something to say" Nick also plays double bass for Patrick Wolf:
