ABOUT ABSOLUTE CHANCER "The DJ"
By the age of 11 Absolute Chancer had collected 100s of tapes, from rave and techno DJs. Taking these tapes to parties he would keep the music going by using two Ghetto Blasters, slightly pushing the FFWD and RWD buttons to keep them in time. While providing the music at a neighbors garden party, one of the MCs from a local rave started chanting over the beats. He came round after the party and offered to sell his dex for £150.
This was the beginning of ABSOLUTE CHANCER.
ACID techno, jungle and beakbeat rave was the order of the day back in 1993. Not being confined to any particular genre opened the field for experimenting with different tempos and rhythms, and introduced the boy to music that most purist house and techno DJs had never been exposed to.
Since the early days of 93 Absolute Chancer has kept pushing the boundaries, and now runs two nights in Edinburgh, Clutter House and Wonky Wallpaper and has had guest appearances up and down the country, some of the event's in recent years include;
