AKA Speedy.
Resident DJ of Inner City Acid; small but respected underground Glasgow club night which I run and promote along with my girlfiend, Claire. Based at The Soundhaus we specialise in electro, acid house, techno and general shit-hot tunage.
Have DJ'd beside and been responsible for bringing the likes of Scratch Massive (Scottish Exclusive), The Youngsters, Si Begg, Mikon-Aistra (World exclusive), FC Kahuna, Medicine 8, Radioactive Man, Starski & Tonic (UK Exclusive), Mark Moore, Mekon, Bass Junkie & Dexorcist aka Kronos Device, DJ Pierre, PHuture 303 & Luke Vibert to Glasgow since ICA started in November 2004.
Have also warmed-up for and shared the decks with the likes of Phil Kieran, Convextion, Dan Monox, DMX Krew, King Cannibal aka Zilla & John Dirty Hospital both at ICA and other events. Wish it was a full-time job but I currently work Monday to Friday doing something completely different which is probably more responsible for loss of brain cells than the smack I inject into my eyeballs every weekend. Once got sacked for promoting/organising Inner City Acid over work's email system!
Chilled out, down to earth, honest, not up my own arse, like to lower the tone of almost every conversation, a bit untidy, funny as fuck, opinionated, a wee bit lazy, don't suffer fools, polite and welcoming but a cunt when needs be, cynical and intolerant of certain things and people at times, don't like bullshitters - it's embarassing, good judge of character, DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT RELIGION, hate pretty much all celebrities, people's obssession with celebrities and the nobody's willing to whore themselves to be one, no fear, no shame, can't save money, last man standing at after parties, can't go to sleep in the evening, hate getting up in the morning, possibly think I'm always right....but I usually am so you should listen to me more you fools!!! Sometimes say too much (like now), sometimes not enough, always late, always thinking!
DJing since '99. Inspired and influenced by Daft Punk's Homework album I started playing and discovering French house, Chicago house etc and many of the dj's/producers shouted out in "Teachers". Today my sets still pay homage to those early influences as well as the latest in everything I enjoy, be it electro, acid house, booty, techno or Baltimore Gutter Shit! Oh, and I won a dj competition once!
