FUNKDEFY

THE ORIGINAL Funk-N-Soul party of central Ohio!!!

About Me

FUNKDEFY is Columbus, Ohio's longest running Funk-N-Soul night specializing in nothing but that Rare Groove. It started when Mike Gourley (DJ Mikey G) and Brian Hannan (DJ Reverend Pimp) were asked to come out and play some of their soul records at the infamous Ravari Room. "We needed a name quick so we literally looked at the calander and called it Funky Thursdays !!!"
Shortly thereafter veteran Funk DJ Numeric and Turntablist DJ Ginsu happened upon the night and started guest Dj'ing off and on once a month, while groove newcomer Andrew Patton aka Funky D landed somewhere in the middle. Our most recent member, the devine soul soother DJ Angelina, has joined the ranks all the way from California.
The combination has worked ... now every month these soulful six can be seen at Ravari Room throwin down THE Funk-N-Soul dance party of Columbus. Incredible new shows called "FUNKDEFY BRINGS YOU..." is bringing down the house at the Ravari Room with their combination of dance parties on wax mixed with some of the most incredible live funk bands you have EVER seen. Both events bring the best in Funk 45s, Soul and Rare Grooves in Columbus!
Come out and get down with Bustown's finest Funk-N-Soul Dance Party as the tradition continues. We will keep the speakers hot provided yall keep out on the floor.
