Long story short: Once upon a time Psalmayene 24 (Psalm) met Waldo @ a social club called Bar Nun in the U street section of Washington D.C. Psalm, an actor/writer/musician, had performed that night and Waldo, a guitarist, was in the audience. It was a Monday night during the early days of The Movement's open mics. This was back in... let's just say the late 90's. Waldo and Psalm decided to make some music together and let the chips fall where they may. They played a few gigs as a duo and ended up playing at a place called Metro Cafe. Jali-D was in the house that night. After Psalm and Waldo's set, Jali-D approached them and said something to the effect of, "I like your sound. I think you need a drummer." Jali-D happened to be a drummer. The group was now complete. They played together for two merry years, put out a cd and then went on an open-ended hiatus. Their hiatus came to an end in April 2006 when, after a meeting, the three went to Jali-D's crib to chill out. A guitar and a drum happened to be laying around so they decided to "mess around" with some of the old songs. The magic was still there and the sound was too beautiful to resist. We hope you feel the same way.To be continued... *PS24 is currently the resident-band at Washington, DC hot-spot BusBoys & Poets. They have performed at such venues as the historic Lincoln Theatre, NYC's S.O.B.'s, and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
