born n raised n the heart of Washinton dc..my family is from south america(chile n peru)..i grew up listening to a lot of latin music from allover latin america.. but i mainly was exposed to Hip hop, R&B, punk rock, Jazz, GoGo and other kindz of musiq...my favorite artist...musiq soulchild...haz been inspiring me to do my musiq since the 6th grade when i got Aijuswanaseing for my bdai. yea dat made me start singing..lolso i never had classes or nothing and i started being more open and singing in front of ppl my 10th grade year of high school. i make my own beats and i have notebooks full of lyrics.....my first song ive ever written was when i was about 14 yearz young..ive alwayys wanted to start my own music career and im tryna pursue in music as much as i can..cause music is truly my true love...when i was younger...many people doubted that i would ever be anything in life...i was called stupid, retarted and dumb cause i went to a speacial ed school for 5 years because i have dislexia and ADD(attention deficit disorder)..lol and i cant spell very well neither..but anyways art was always my strength...music..visual arts...poetry...all dat goood stufff.and art has alwayys been a way of expressing myself since i was very young...and basically what im trying to say..for all the people who doubted me...fuck umy lyrics... they come from real things that happen to me in life...they are about love...mostly...and just relashionships and about anything i feel...i write all day long..on the bus..in the car...before i sleep...not like a journal type of writing..but poetry..of how i feel...many of my lyrics come from a speacial girl..who has captured my heart and who makes me feel real good..but then again we have our downs...but ey..thats how shit iz...she means a lot to me tho...oooo one more thing....i never disrespect women in my lyrics..because women are the most important in this world..my mission.. i want to put out music that people can listen to..that aint about money..clothes...hoes...or anything against females...that is explicit... im jus tryna express myself and i want people to know how im feelin when they listen to my music..im serious about making it big and i have a feeling that i will if i keep my mind focused on what i came here to do..which is to make music...im learning new things everyday and i have a lot to improve on andd ima b working my ass off to make it up there with the stars.... sincerallyNick~Hakim
