About Me

Please Note: I've stopped swimming against the tide and joined Facebook. I don't check MySpork much anyone so if you want to get in contact. Go to Facebook and search for "Himelfield". Danke.

My nicknames have included D'himmels, Himmers, Himmo and others I won't mention.

Could eat jalfrezi, pathia, madras all day if it didn't wreck my guts.

Could drink top Belgian or German beer all day if it didn't wreck my liver.

Been in several bands - from terrible to good quality. I recorded my first song on my 16th birthday. It was called 'Youth of Today'. It had the same chords as Offspring's 'Self Esteem' and the lyrics went: "Inflation and recession do not help at all."

I learnt drums because I couldn't find a drummer into the same sorts of things.

Used to skateboard. My best trick was a f/s 180 crooked grind. I only landed it once. Had to retire due to age and dislocating shoulder.

My favourite cars include BMW 8-series and 3-series, Mercedes CL and SL. None of which on my meagre salary can I afford.

I don't see the point of buying everything on vinyl. It doesn't sound particularly great unless you have a £3,000 stereo. It takes up loads of space. It's not portable and it perishes easily.

The most famous person I have met is Patrick Stewart. My favourite animals include the giraffe, the serval and the hammerhead shark.

Music without passion - The Editors are a case in point

I was watching E4 Music the other day and saw a video for some hip new young thing band; The Editors, I believe. While the tune was catchy in a throwaway pop manner it completely lacked drive and pass...
