Contrary to popular belief, Nursing Home did not split in the Winter of 2006. Instead, they set themselves a near impossible task. They would never play together again until they had written the best song in the world. The best song in the world ever had been Hey Jude by The Beatles.
It was a difficult feat. Each member went of a separate path of inspiration. David went across the Pennines, Lewis sold prescription glasses, Richard started eating and Timothy dismissed himself from as many jobs as possible.
Around 18 months later the impossible was made possible. A new song emerged, better than the song with the words "Na Na Na Na-na-na Na Na-na-na Na Hey Jude". Nursing immediately began consciously playing notes simultaneously. The rest will become history.
DEFUNCT pop riff-off merchants, Nursing Home, may no longer be defunct, says a source.
The source, who does not wish to be named, said he heard derivative popular music emenating from a rat-ridden practice room in Ancoats.
While unable to make visual contact, the source said the sound was unmistakable in its unoriginality.
He said it could have only belonged to the quasi-defunct four piece which didn't completely split 18 months ago.
The unnamed man, 27, from Prestwich, said: "The drummer couldn't keep pace and the guitars were way out of tune. There was even reference to a Lewis who wouldn't get off the drums during a cancer stick break. I swear it was them."
A spokesman for Nursing Home's communications department declined to comment.
The spoke, 27, from Prestwich said: "I decline to comment."
