..Hugo Chavez is doing more for the poor in the U.S. than Bush is. (Well that isn't saying much...Wal-Mart is doing more for the poor in the U.S. than bush!) Last year he donated a lot of heating oil to people who couldn't afford it in the North East, and this year he plans on giving more to people in the Northern Plains & Great Lakes. So Tim, I agree it's not you and me he can't stand it's our "leaders" and foreign policies to date. Hugo is kind of a polarizing figure in L.A. though...I hear he's not too popular in Colombia. Yeah, you're totally brainwashed if you ignore the unanimous agreement by over 200 independent experts in an NIST report that the buildings fell without any aid of explosives besides the planes. And you do need the controlled demolition theory to push the inside job idea, because it's the least ludicrous of all the conspiracy theories.
I used to buy into it, I went to WhatReallyHappened every day, and then I slowly realized these people were just blaming the United States for every thing bad that was happening, and they became increasingly hysterical as more and more evidence came out that debunked them. They're just like everyone else who is convinced of their ideas based on preconceptions and circumstantial evidence.
I'll believe people when they know what they are talking about. Average people who hated Bush before 9/11 and now try to convince people it was an inside job have no credibility, and it's not surprising they still dont have any real evidence to support it.

Seriously, look at the alternative theory and the 100's of anomalies surrounding that day before you completely make up your mind. 1- yes I'm not thrilled with Bush but I also do not engage in delusion. So why would I suddenly imagine and create a fantastic scenario to satisfy this hatred. And why are there so many people who agree with me? 2- NIST is a government agency that has a vested interest in the funding that the government provides. NIST actually has been very noncommital regarding the collapses and has admitted recently that it will look into explosive use in WTC 7 which was not hit by a plane. Research Will. Could they have injected false blips on the FAA radar (since as we all know there were at least 11 War GAmes run by Dick Cheney that day including some about crashing jets into the WTCs- coincidence?) which confused everyone including NORAD, NEADS and the FAA. I am a very average man. I teach, have a wife and two kids. I'm middle class, a homeowner, and have a Master's degree.

I always thought I was crazy for thinking those were controlled demolition, but now most of my friends say the same thing. I guess that's the kind of mind-fuck a psy-op is supposed to be.

It's a declassified US government plan to stage terrorist attacks on US soil and then blame it on another country to mobilize the American people to support a war with that country. Here are a few excerpts from the Northwoods document:
Pg 6: 4. We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.
Pg 8: 3. A "Remember the Maine" incident could be arranged in several forms:
a. We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.
Pg 10: 8. It is possible to create an incident which will demonstrate convincingly that a Cuban aircraft has attacked and shot down a chartered civil airliner...
Pg 10: 8a. An aircraft at Eglin AFB would be painted and numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft belonging to a CIA proprietary organization in the Miami area. At a designated time the duplicate would be substituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be loaded with the selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases. The actual registered aircraft would be converted to a drone.
Pg 10: 8b. Take off times of the drone aircraft and the actual aircraft will be scheduled,to allow a rendezvous south of Florida. From the rendezvous point the passenger-carrying aircraft will descend to minimum altitude and go directly into an auxiliary field at Eglin AFB where arrangements will have been made to evacuate the passengers and return the aircraft to its original status. The drone aircraft meanwhile will continue to fly the filed flight plan. When over Cuba the drone will being transmitting on the international distress frequency a "MAY DAY" message stating he is under attack by Cuban MIG aircraft. The transmission will be interrupted by destruction of the aircraft which will be triggered by radio signal. This will allow ICAO radio stations in the Western Hemisphere to tell the US what has happened to the aircraft instead of the US trying to " sell" the incident.

..Richard Cleary, don't ask someone else to do your homework, you know the answers are only a Google away, go educate yourself. The Empire State Building is actually a more rigid structure that the Trade Towers and was hit by a plane 1/12 as massive,1/30 the fuel load, and traveling at half the speed. Three buildings collapsed due to fire on 9/11/2001. Take a look at any of the collapse videos and notice that the debris outside the towers falls faster than that collapse itself, and the debris is also slowed by aerodynamic drag, so there is nothing approaching free fall in those collapses.
