About Me

Eon started his recording career in 1987 while dj'ing as Ian B (Mud Club, Pyramid, the Fridge & others) when he started producing his own music. Dj friend Colin Faver played his first track 'Cuban Jakkin' by Rio Rhythm Band on the then pirate radio station Kiss FM, this led to it being released on Eddie Richards' BAAD label. The Eon releases started in 1988 with 'Light, Color, Sound', his first release on Vinyl Solution. There followed many Eon releases on VS including 'Spice','Basket Case', 'Fear the Mind Killer' & others, including 'Inner Mind' (featured in the trashy college dance segment of the original Buffy the Vampire slayer movie!) J Saul Kane aka Depth Charge was involved on many of the early Eon projects as co-producer, including the first Eon album 'Void Dweller' also released in the USA on Columbia Records.
Eon also remixed & produced tracks for Bizzare Inc including the classic 'Raise Me'. Also during this period 88 - 93 he had the first releases on Hooj Toons & XL Recordings with the release of classic Rio Rhythm Band track 'Carnival da Casa' on Hooj Toons (now re-released with Christian J remix on Boombox Records) and 'We Want Funk' / 'Happy Magic' on XL.
In '93 he teamed up with fellow british acid pioneer Peter 'Baby' Ford producing many classic tracks including 'Dead Eye' (Ifach Records no.001), which was featured on Richie Hawtin's 'Decks FX & 909' album & is now released as a single on his Plus 8 label. Peter Ford also co-produced 'A Kind of Living' with Eon (Vinyl Solution) and they worked together on 'Fetish' (Rhythm King/various) Then as Minimal Man they released 'Outside the Window' on Guerilla Records followed by the classic 'Treatment Feel' on Vinyl Solution. There followed many releases on various labels both in the UK & Europe. Latest Minimal Man release is 'Plastic Smile' on Sender Records featuring a remix by Benno Blome.
Eon has also released tracks on Peter Ford's Trelik Records label as Tan Ru & R Rash, as well as an Eon EP on PAL-SL. The Trelik classic 'Smokin Jakkit' by R Rash has just been remixed by dj Luciano & is out now on Exacta Records.
Eon has performed live at Fabric and on Radio 1, & has worked with Mark Moore as remixer & co producer, Mark & Eon's new remix of 'Blame' by Temposhark is going down a storm! As Sonny Bozo they released the 12" 'Trash the Can' / 'Bang Bang' on Umami Records , also on Umami is the 'Magazines will kill you' 12" which features Countess Zapak on lyrics & vocals & also a remix of the first Eon vs the Countess track 'Broke Bitter & Twisted' by legendary 80's producer John Robie.
2003 saw the release of Eon's 2nd album 'Sum of Parts' on Long Haul records. Later that year, Eon teamed up with Marcus J Knight as co- producer of the band 1gnition later releasing 'Love is War' on Kingsize Records featuring a remix by Chicken Lips, and second single 'Airtight'. 12" single 'Planet 69' featuring Williams remix plus 'Night Version' is out now on Adrift Records. Look out for new 1gnition 12" 'Secret Sunday Lover' featuring remixes by Ilija Rudman & Greg Wilson, out in June on the Love is War label.
New Eon 12" vinyl ep 'Component X' is out now on Kracktronik Records. Look out for the new limited gold vinyl pressing!
