THE COUNTESS in early 2004 The Countess realised domestic virtue was not what she was destined for ,in fact that virtue of any sort domestic or otherwise was anaethsma to her core . With the rally cry of HOUSEWIVES ARE THE NEW ROCKSTARS " she sought divorce and exile. Hiding out in the wilds of hampshire u.k. she set about starting a revolution in a world where conservatism was more prevalent than ever and where bland and banal conformity was the status quo.What C:U:N $:T: ROCK setS out to do is to encourage a positive strident street level art statement that incorporates music and provovative spectacle as a direct response to the aroma of decay permiating popular culture.The kids who were before in past decades , the leaders of the backlash had become suckered by big buisines , their imaginations rotted by an economy of false needs elevated into a tableau of frozen desires ,and those desires reduced to a cartoon of twitching needs'. The past is now the future ............with this in mind The Countess set about her task and what a journey it has been.! she read a book about the nature of random synchrinicity and decided to try living her life according to the principles that 3 coincidences correspond to a vital clue of how to proceed,.The first incarnation of the band comprised players met at the local village pub in otterbourne hampshire u.k . A pretty vegan , claivoyant 'traveller' percussionist on bongos called IZZIE ; a mentally challanged guitarist bRIAN and his fat carer,The show at sohos KABERETwas attended by drunks and londons art elite who watched The Countess wearing a dress that was a st george flag held together with andrew logan brooches, leaping onto the bar , wrestling a 6foot bouncer to the floor all whilst singing operatic and excellent rock songs .Those in the audience including dUGGIE fIELDS; rOBERT cAREY wILLIAMS ; jAMIE rOSE talked of a radical birth of something close to the chaos and brilliance of the sex pistols.i myself saw this show and my first thought was that i had never anything more exhilirating in my life.The songs were manificant and the band were utterely deranged. The Countess..s next endevour was to hang out in a kebab shop on the edgware road and choose three people who in the space of two weeks who were attractive to her three times .The line -up became Lady Ruth a stunning sixteen year old west indian mother of a three year old boy who learned to play her sons fisher price keyboard , Tim Arnold guitarist and ninetees indie star of band Jacosta, and a Mick Jagger lookalike guitarist called Sandy who was so permanently stoned that he drove via Wales from London to get to the infamous 2004 manchester in the city music conference gig. The gig got THE countess voted ..woman of the year.... 2004 and the band band most likely to ... by Designer magazine The Countess then planned to take C:U:N:T: ROCK REVOLUTION cant understand normal thinking .. to NEW YORK the capitol of the western world: Getting media coverage with the contraversial name of the movement and the delicate conservative sensibilities post 9/11 of the mainstream u.s press proved a difficult task . However shows very quickly become the stuff of new New York myth and commanded a fanatical following of gorgeuos girl fans screaming and sporting c.u.n.t.rock tee shirts ,aping The Countess..various stylings and taking the fashion of C:U:N:T rock to the streets where it found its way into various fashion publications new york magazine where the countess was named a fashion icon ,and italian vogue . ........Hollywood names, artists , skate punks, skanks and pretty vacants and the remaining original warriors of the new york bohemian underground such as michel auder , antone periche, steve paul,penny arcade, gary indianna, lucien,peter beard, rachel weiss made The Countess shows talked about events .Patrick Mcmullen christened her .. downtowns reigning queen .The shows became the subject of films and documentaries by Jaque Crack of uppers and downers magazine , film maker and New York chronicler Antone Periche and film and video director Steve Barron.. Shows with thought provoking titles"plastic spastic love " saw the countess suspended in plastic covered in discount barbie dolls from china town and dressed as a sex doll to emerge and slalom mannequins on a skateboard whilst singing the beautiful genocide II aria "abfinite", oN ANOTHER OCCASSION a half naked entrance on a crucifix ( a year befor Madonna made a similar entrance) for the "i am FEJUS the FEMALE JESUS -AND SO ARE YOU !" AS the "mad molecule"emerging from a dress made to look like a syringe wrapped in a blood splattered white hospital gown for the " mad molecule" shows , and at the KNITTING FACTORY SHOW where THE COUNTESS AND THE C:R:R HEADLINED -holding a bag of goldfish emerging from a a giant plastic package like an eightee brigitte bardot with blonde extentions and a blue and white stripey tee shirt for "THE FUTURE IS STUPID -INDENTIKIT GOLDFISH"-the new york times sunday magazine ran a fashion spread two months late with similar styling and clothes , its model holding a bag of goldfish .. In Jan "008 the countess moved to BERLIN where the band was rechristend THE CUN$T ROCK REVOLUTION;due to its collaberation with established german artists ,Clemens Weiss and Henry LeUCher .CUN$T is the german word for ART:THE COUNTESS AUTHOR OF all songsstylist, producer, lead singer, agitator, and chief protagonist in any absurdist setting. Influences: daily i feel the influences of missing friends whose lives have been tragically extinguished from this world in freak cruel instances ... ,Kadamba Simmons , guitarist Matthew Ashman , style icon Leon, -aka the fat bloke .. mens clothes designer Amos, guitarist Alias and my L:A neighbour DEREK WITTUS who i will swear was an actual angel.Here are the others in no particular order that have made me trip with joy for what they create... Andrew Logan sculptor, Genocide II founder artist deejay producer KRIS BONES- a diamond ,the theme from Blade Runner, the music from "Diva" -who wrote it ? i never did find out , ..some Mozart that i dont know the name of ,`all the classic Rolling Stones songs i will never get tired of hearing ......, Italian and French cinema from the 50s 60s and 70s all soo sexy .. all those great Italian directors , FELLINI ; VISCONTi ; ATIONINI , the film maker Steve Barron and his unforgatable videos, director Michel Gundry, and these movies... THE LEOPARD; Blade Runner, Cinema Paradiso, Life is Beautiful, Short Cuts,Il Topo, Bring me The Head of Alfredo Carcia, Some Came Running, Sunset Boulevard, Papillion,China Town , The French Connection, Lolita,Breaking the Waves, Festen ,To Have and Have Not, Broadcast,Taxi Driver, Choking Man- Steve Barron short film ,Bonnie and Clyde, All about Eve,there are loads of other great movies whose names i may not recall but who i loved as they transported me and made me forget myself .. i love to read the books that re- interpret life for me ... these writers ..jack karouak , philip roth , thomas pynchon, kurt vonnegut ,milan kundera ,normon mailer,charles bakowski toni morrison, tom wolf, i could easily live another whole life and dedicate that lifetime to reading ... there are so many books i still have yet to read .... oh and there are two songs from Sesame Street that have resonated with me for as long as i can remember "I Have 5 Monsters in my Family' and "Rubber Duckie, You're the One"
