Requiem Of The Damned

Cast them into DARKNESS, they will NEVER die! ROTD

About Me

ADD OUR BANNER! (copy text from the box below)
The requiem of the damned
Echoes off the walls of existance
This symphony of slaughter
Cast in stone upon gravestones
Smashed to bits by the years
The tribute to the condemned
Pours into the rivers of being
This manifestation of madness
Buried into the minds of men
Killing themselves for their years
This too has come to pass
And yet I gaze apon it and wonder
Is this all the world offers unto
The sacred beings of creation
The bringers of light and darkness
The keepers of nothing and come forth
The bittersweet silence of their
Tortured and ravenous screams
This truly is the end of ends
The beginning of the last cries
Of mortal men and madness
End of Ends - Matt Steele '05
Formed in October '05 by Darrell (Beneath the Dying Moon, Ex - Lord Kaos) and Stuart (Ex - Insolence, Genaricon, & Arcane Rites) when they decided to cross the boundaries of their previous projects and work on their own unique brand of music by welding the genre of gothic rock with the dischordant sound of Black metal.
Brad (Nubrium, Beneath the Dying Moon), Josh (Ex vocalist of Inane Eminence), Mungo (Bass guitarist in Nubrium, Mercy Call, Horsefurnace) completed the line up. The first 3 songs from their "Type i" album were completed and recorded at Newcastle's Darkforce studios. They are "Derailed", "HellEnd" and "Ghosts". In March 06 Brad departed the band to put his full concentration into BtDM and has since been replaced on Drums by Davey Cyn (Ex. Grim Demise).
October '06 saw the bands first live performance at the Hell Before Halloween Party at newcastle's Cambridge Hotel Glasshouse in front of a record breaking crowd, playing alongside fellow newcastle metallers Arcane Rites and Grim Demise and also Sydney's Vaticide.
Soon after Davey left the band to spend more time with his family. Sam from Brisbane filled his position and completed the drumming for the bands first full length album. Greg (Syncron City) took the position as the bands full time keyboardist.
R.o.t.D has completed 9 tracks for the Type i album and (which spans for just over an hour) and is currently recording for it to be released near the end of 2008...
