The Juice Debacle

About Me

Forming in 2005 for a university band competition Brisbane band THE JUICE DEBACLE quickly made a splash on the local scene after winning a wild card spot in the competition final. Rocking the UQ university bar was just the first step as fans showed up with home made TJD shirts. A string of gigs at friend's parties help spread their fanbase as the band continued to practice and write exciting new material along the way. Battling pressures from the real world of university and work, TJD struggled on, playing gigs at venues such as The Globe, Ric's Bar, The Alley Bar, The Red Room, The Calypso Bar, Gilhooneys and The Uni of Qld, picking up fans along the way. Mid 2007 saw the band jump into the recording studio to record their first EP, "CHOP IT UP, CHALK IT DOWN". Recorded at Nasty Studios, where Brisbane rock legend REGURGITATOR record, the EP is a fresh sound with beautiful musical stylings. Blending many genres into a coherent sound that is distinctly THE JUICE DEBACLE, this is a masterful album. CHOP IT UP, CHALK IT DOWN creates musical diaromas of poetic intoxication, bringing the listener to the brink, and then simply shoving them off.

Sounds Like: Andrew of THE QUILLS......................."Great stuff!! really cool lyrical ideas- and the start to epic (as well as the rest of the tracks) is really well done- cool ideas well executed! The Juice Debarcle's debut release "Chop it up, Chalk it Down" is a CD that will make your waters tremble... mine are still trembling." ............................................................ ............................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ . ............................................................ ............................................................ Justin of JENOVA BIRTH...................... "Epic is my favourite out of all their songs. The intro is trippy and atmospheric, and really draws the listener in. Soon an awesome drum beat kicks in and the vocalist belts out angsty lyrics. It changes into a really rockin section that would make anyone wanna dance. Great instrumental work in a song that truly is epic!" ............................................................ ............................................. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................
