Informing and Empowering Women 24/7 WHO WE ARE:
Think Girl is a non-profit organization dedicated to informing and empowering women through the website and community programs.
Think Girl’s web site links women activists across the globe with women’s news, educational resources, and personal writings. We hope to help girls and women understand feminism’s past, present and encourage them to contribute to its future.
Locally, Think Girl bridges women in metro-Detroit: women of all races and ethnicities, of low- and middle-income, of all body abilities, of spiritual and secular beliefs, and from Detroit and the suburbs. We are developing educational workshops for preteen girls on media literacy and body image, women’s history and feminism, and challenging stereotypes. More grassroots programs and events are in the works.
Think Girl meets on the first Monday of every month at AJ's Music Cafe in Ferndale, MI at 7:00pm.
