I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

At two years old Deaquelynn was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia after her parents had concerns that she was not walking by that age. This diagnoses imposed by the enemy to take her very life is now what Deaquelynn considers the biggest challenge she's overcome in life (through Christ).
Now a humanitarian, author, speaker, life coach and executive director, Deaquelynn shares her stories of struggles and overcoming all types of dire circumstances - child molestation, date rape, death, divorce, low self-worth, low self-esteem, financial dispair and so much more.
Currently Deaquelynn serves as founder and executive director of God's Star International Ministries [GSIM] which is the parent ministry to mPOWERd 4 LIFE Youth Development [M4LYD]. In addition to this she is the co-founder of Talitha Cumi Mentoring Program for girls. She also serves as focus group facilitator for the Sickle Cell Clinic Transition Group at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She also is a columnist for WOW! Magazine where she writes monthly articles for WOW! Teenz.
One of her most recent accomplishments was to redevelop her personal business "Quelynn, Inc." into an empowerment life coaching firm for women in which Deaquelynn uses various success principles and techniques to help women reach their maximized potential and success in life.
In addition to her long list of accomplishments in which she gives all honor and glory to God, Deaquelynn is currently developing a women's program for the students at Miles College that is set to begin in Fall 2008.

My Interests

I developed Quelynn, Inc. to help you reach your fullest potential and accomplish your life goals quicker and effectively through spiritual development, self-awareness, encouragement and motivation. I am devoted to the success of women who are ready to see exponential growth in every area of their lives.
The mission of Quelynn, Inc. is to catapult women to their wealthy place through biblical training and holistic alignment that builds self-esteem, purpose and passion.
I've learned that most people desire to succeed in one or more of the following areas: spirit, soul, body, social, financial, and professional. The goal of Quelynn, Inc. to assist you in maximizing success in each of these areas by providing you with the necessary tools to develop you into becoming the person you were created to be.
I am committed to your success because I have overcome a lot of personal challenges in life - sickness, death, divorce, abuse, financial hardships, depression, low self-esteem, and low self-worth. Yet, I am confident that I overcame those circumstances so that I can be a blessing to other women like me.

It is an honor to meet God's people from all aspects and all walks of life.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

I mostly like Neo-Soul/Indie, Contemporary Christian, Worship, Jazz and some World music.

Movies:

I love action movies more than anything. Beyond that I like drama, comedy and some Sci-fi.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do I am more than likely watching one of the following America's Net Top Model or CSI: Miami- and I will watch anything on USA Network. I also like watching kids programming with my 5 year old niece, Erin. ;o)

Books:

I absolutely love reading. There are so many books I could list here as my favorites. These are books that literally changed my thinking, thus changing my life:

The Holy Bible by God
Value in the Valley by Iyana Vanzant
The Purpose Drive Life by Rick Warren
Healed Without Scars by David G. Evans
Lord, Make Me Whole by Stormie O'martian

Heroes:

Of all the people that I could probably name as heroes, ONLY two people come to mind - my mother, Mary Ann Williams (she's in heaven now) because she was the strongest woman I've ever known in my life. She was a overcomer and a champion of life! My second hero (although He really is my first) is Jesus Christ because He is ... well, He's Jesus!
