About Me

They say the cream always rises to the top, and in a very short time G. Brown has done exactly that. From clubs and mix-tapes, to radio and production, G. Brown has built quite an amazing resume.
Although he calls New York home, this Boston-born DJ is world-renown for his turntable skills and eclectic ear for music. He is infamous for merging Hip-Hop, Rock, Reggae, House, Brazilian Funk, R&B and Classic Soul. This "Best Club DJ" nominee (2006 Mixtape Awards) has rocked parties in over 20 countries, and is currently ranked as one of the top DJ’s in the US. Having entertained parties for the likes of Diddy, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton and Mick Jagger, G. Brown is the official go-to DJ at all of the hottest celebrity hangouts around New York City. His residencies include Tenjune, Marquee, Butter and New York's newest hot-spot, Upstairs.
G. Brown began his career by earning his stripes as a tour DJ for various Hip-Hop artists. To date, he has done shows with and/or toured with Hip-Hop icons Outkast, Gangstarr, Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Alchemist, Boot Camp Click, Ghostface (Wu-Tang), Ft. Minor (Linkin Park) and The Beatnuts.
Also a world renowned mixtape veteran, G. Brown’s mixtapes currently reach over 30 countries, with over 300,000 CD's in circulation globally. These mixtapes have also attracted an extensive fan-base in the media, receiving critical acclaim in such magazines as "The Source" and "Tablist". This notoriety led to numerous nominations at Justo’s Annual Mixtape Awards (2001-2006). As a result of this recognition, he was requested to speak on a mixtape panel at Jam Master Jay's Scratch Academy during its inaugural semester in 2002. This appearance was eventually used on the Scratch Academy’s first DVD.
