D J Berrie moves quickly. Just two years removed from deejaying in his
mother's basement, the twenty-two year-old Berrie has established
himself as a favorite of the entertainment industry's elite. Called
upon by the likes of Kanye West, 50 Cent, Giselle Bundchen, and Shaquille
O'Neal to play music at their exclusive bashes, the New Yorker has
been spotted giving deejay pointers to aspiring deejays like Lindsay
Lohan and Lil Jon.
With a signature blend of hip-hop, house, rock, pop, classics, soul,
funk and reggae, Berrie has emerged as an international star deejaying in France, England, Italy, Mexico, and Croatia in recent months. His unique sound has made him a regular at red carpet soirees for clients including Victoria's Secret, Veuve Clicquot,
GQ, Pepsi, and AOL. Berrie has performed at high-profile parties at the Sundance Film Festival, Super Bowl, Milan Fashion Week, Art Basel and Winter Music Conference.
Asked to describe his ability to move crowds,
Berrie says, "The most exciting part of being a deejay is connecting
with the audience. I recognize that each crowd is different, but my
greatest skill as an artist is finding what the audience needs to hear
to take the party to the next level!"
Berrie is a fixture inside the velvet ropes at America's premier
clubs. He is a resident New York
hotspots Marquee and Tenjune, Tao Las Vegas, Mokai in Miami, and Dune in Southampton.
Berrie has been featured in publications including Vanity Fair, People, Life &
Style Weekly, New York Post, Ocean Drive, and OK! Magazine.
