Samizdat is a DIY collective putting on shows in Liverpool and when we can afford to, putting out records too.
We collectively like music, coffee and friends. You should too, come down, listen to music and make friends [bring your own coffee]. Our aims are to showcase the best in new [and old!] music whilst keeping costs low for you and making sure everyone playing has the best time possible. . We do get alot of requests for gigs so we are sorry if we can't email back everyone, if you add us, we'll have a listen and if we like your music and find a fitting bill, we'll message you. We hope to see you at one of our shows and hope you all have as good a time as we do. Also a quick note to say that whoever you are, be you the cousin of that shouty guy from the Automatic or an A+R guy from Cokenose records please do not message us for guestlist, if you've been involved in helping put on the show then of course credit is due but otherwise you'll have to pay up like everyone else [the other exception being that if you do work for a major label you have to pay triple the door price].
