BANDS READ OUR BLOG OR THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS TEXT IF YOU DONT WANT US TO GET MEDIEVAL ON YOUR ASS!Rock Of Ages is a clubnight in Leeds, England that attracts around 600 people every month from all walks of life and ages. Ages 18-50+ and no pretentious bullshit, just good tunes, good people and a real cool atmosphere!
We play lots of Rock & Metal music from the 70's to now. Stuff that nobody else plays. Not at any rock night we've ever been to anyways!
We usually play the 1st Saturday of every month at Leeds University Mine Venue. We have 2 rooms, one playing rock, one playing metal (no shit, sherlock!). Check our calendar below though to make sure you get the right dates and other stuff we do!
Our Rock room plays:Ac/dc to Wildhearts via Aerosmith Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, Kiss, Led Zep, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Pearl Jam, Queen, Rainbow, Skid Row, Terrorvision, Thin Lizzy, Velvet Revolver... hell you get the idea. It's a rock n roll party playing everything fromt the 60's to good rock shit now but a good 50% is based in the best rawk years ever - the 80's Hell yeah!
Our Metal room plays: Archenemy to Rob Zombie via Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Children Of Bodom, Disturbed, Dragonforce, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, Megadeth, Metallica, Nightwish, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera, Rammstein, Slayer, System Of A Down, Tool, Trivium and lots of other good metal shit including power, death & thrash metal.
It costs £4 in advance to get in, £5 on the door but for your money it breaks down even better than just a club night...
We open at 8.30pm and run till 3.00am featuring the best rock & metal bands we can get playing before the club night. We have had The Glitterati, Rattlesnake Remedy, Conquest of Steel, Kid Ego, Dirty Rig, New Generation Superstars, Red Star Rebels and loads of others play for us in the last year!. Add to this draught bitter & lager is only £1.50 a pint before 11pm & Double Jack Daniels & mixer is £3.45 all night. What more do you want!?
We are on at Leeds University Union - Mine and Bar Coda every 1st Saturday. OPEN TO EVERYONE, not just students.
