In west central Saint Catherine,Jamacia, West Indies. In a little village called Friendship. Spriggy D discovered his talent in the year 1984. When he was always listening to the radio. He would sing the songs that the radio was playing. It was artist like Daddy Uroy, King yellow man, Charley Chaplin, Briggedear Jerry, Josey Wells, General Trees, Sabba Ranks, Nija Man Courtney melody, Frankie Paul Leroy Gibanks thats how he developed his vocal skills.He would always be singing all the time.His Grandmother would always tell him he is making to much noise. Then one rainy day I finally get my first fans me and some of my family member was siting watching the rain when one of my uncle says to me chris I heard you saying that you want to be a entertainer so sing something for me. So I song a certain lyric to him and they gave me my first encore and thats were my career as an reggae dance hall artist began. Then I had to take it to the streets. So I know that I had to find a stage name. So one day I was walking with one of my friends he was trying to be an artist too so we decided that we got to come up with two stage names then he said to me his name will be NOTORIOUS and I said to him my name will be Spriggy D so started to advertist my newly found stage name to allmy friend, family and fans. They liked it so I started to uterlize my talent at school concerts,stage shows, Community events,soccer games,cricket games,Dj and sound systemswhereever I go. Whereever I could show off my lyricalskills. It was over a decade I was trying to make a record but it seems like no one wasfeeling what I was trying to do but It was for the love that I had and the passion that I had for the music. Keep me trying over and over again. So I just keep on writing my music ideas and kept them with me where ever I go because I know that every real artist never make it easy.I always tell my friends that I think my career is going to bust out in the United States. Because I always think I am going to leave Jamacia one day because most of my family members reside in America like my mother, sisters, and brother,cousins and Grandparents.So I finally left Jamacia before my career actually started recording. I left Jamacia in 2003.record my first single called "The girls Dem chubby" an a hot track called the cooley dance riddem. it was nothing major it was just to get my name established asearly aspossible so I just record without worring about the business aspect of the music like ever other artist something ikethat do happen so ever one like what they heard and they told me Spriggy D you can do your thing.So I get some copies of they single and gave them to everyone who know me and who do not know me.So I gave one of my single to this artist girl name Joanna she gave it to a producer who was looking for a new talent a dance hall artist. He likedmy skills and he contacted me by phone on we talked business and he told me to come to they studio to record an and album he was producing for toots and the maytals because they needed a more of an dance hall sound on the album so that was my first real realopportunity. When I record the single the producer whos name is Bolvar told me that he is like my energentic energy and he liked my vibes and work ethics. Then he told me he was interested in making a album with me so we started recording the album in 2006. The title of the album will be "Spriggy D @ hot"Brand new hot reggae dance hall tracks like 2000 flat, kitty cat, and many more. This album consist of singles like "Are You Ready", "Tickle Me" "A man's Love","High Rollers","Kitty Cat","Dickery Doc" "N.B.A. Dance Song","Best Shot","High Speed","Hot Girls","All of Dem Females" "My Mommy" etc.Gregory Christopher Whitfield A.K.A.Spriggy Diggy love the females very much Spriggy always into sports such as soccer, table tennis, cricket, volley ball, basketball, once it is a ball Spriggy D (A.K.A) G.C.Whitfield ready to play but music was always my first marriage, my first wifey, my first love. But not a violent person, but very determined, aggressive, hungery, G.C.Whitfield otherwise known as Spriggy Diggy was one of five childeren that was born from Andrella a single mother. I was her second born so I was always carrying most of the burden thats when I developed most of my powers to be successfull in whatever I pursue.
