Happy New Year!!

About Me

We all think the Universe revolves around our own particular little patch of dirt, don't we? I've led an interesting life, so far, and it's had some moments, believe you me. I'm pretty much the definition of a Picaroon, one of the Devil's Poor, probably would've been hung from the gibbet in an earlier age. I just had to learn the hard way that Uncle Sam just won't abide some forms of behavior and/or leisure activities. "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," words to live by, my friends. I'm either a wise fool, or a foolish sage, I haven't figured out which description fits, yet.

My Interests

Live music----Books----Writing----Making Music----Movies-----Argggh!!!! This sounds so banal!!! I'm secretly Speed's older brother!!! So I'm really only interested in racing cartoon cars behind Pops' back. Let's just say I've led an interesting life (in the Chinese proverbial curse kind of sense) and if I get to know you better I'll lie, lie, lie. I hope this turns out to be a better year!!!.. width="425" height="350" ..

I'd like to meet:

Oh Gawd ---"Some really groovy and turned-on people, man". There, satisfied? Can I go now? No, really, I do want to meet you--yeah, you--Hey!!!Wait!!!--Don't log o---

Bach, Palestrina, Charpentier, Prokofiev, Mozart, Vivaldi, Webern, Mahler, I worship at the altars of all the usual suspects of greatness in rock and jazz (or at least pay my respects), Zappa, anyone who collaborated with the Band (which was just about all the good musicians during the late 60's-70's), sorry, don't do the Deadhead trip, but you feel free to freak on. Wild Women who scream and moan and make delicious shivers run up and down my spine. Loud horrible noisy rawk. Primitives of the world. the sound of wind blowing through a dead world. The howls of an unknown predator on a moonless night. And oompah bands.

Plaguey Days of Woe.

Ah, it's so much fun to be sick.  We think that we are one indivisible being, making our way in the world, in control and in charge, then the little hordes of foreign virii attack and put us back...

the DEVIL...

Recently, a book came out called, "The Devil-a Biography", which essentially demotes Satan from arch-nemesis of God to just one of his more jaded employees.  Basically, Satan's job is to test Man...

Strangeness of it all.

It's weird, but this time last year  I was anxiously awaiting yet another hurricane to pass by my involuntary home on the Florida Panhandle coast, watching the strange and outlandish cl...

Centro-Matic show 04/14 @ the Granada

Wow, what a great show!  They haven't played in Dallas in 2 years, so this was kind of cool to not see them in their usual haunts up in Denton or Ft. Worth.  We got in to half-way through th...
