About Me

Bienvenido a mi pagina!
I'm a San Diego native and have been involved in charity work since childhood. Whether the cause was to walk 26.2 miles to raise money for the people of Africa (Walk for Mankind North County), or sing to senior citizens during the holidays, the main goal has always been to give back to the community. I lived in Los Angeles for 13 years and worked in medicine. Moved back to San Diego in 2004 and decided to dive into the electronic music scene.
You Belong in Los Angeles
Whether you'll admit it or not, a huge part of you likes being in the spotlight.
And you may just have enough star quality to make it big in LA!
Even if you don't become famous, you still belong in a place where you can get a year round tan. Where Does Your Inner Californian Belong?
Music has also always been a driving force and after experiencing Miami during the Winter Music Conference in March 2006, I began working more closely with Realivze Tribe, Polka Dot, and Giant promotion teams. During the DJ Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk performances at 4th and B(#1 and #2 DJ's in the world) I assisted with the creation of an outdoor lounge area with team members that would ultimately create Green Addict, a San Diego based organization led by Jim Clayton to help deliver the message of being responsible to our community in the club environment.
Your Life is 80% Green
You live a very green life, and you're aware of how your actions help the earth.
Of course, it's hard to be totally green. But when you make a tradeoff, you know why you're making it. How Green Is Your Life? Green Addict Represent!

these are my duckin' homies!

My interests vary along with my mood (which is unpredictable like I said)...
Playing with my nieces.
Running on the beach. Cuddling in bed. Going to the movies, theater. Being alone and reading. I love to dance, sing, watch DJ's spin, shop, dine, travel, college football and basketball...

You Are New York
Cosmopolitan and sophisticated, you enjoy the newest in food, art, and culture.
You also appreciate a good amount of grit - and very little shocks you.
You're competitive, driven, and very likely to succeed.

Famous people from New York: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Tupac Shakur, Woody Allen What American City Are You?

I'd like to meet:

I think I've met every type of character possible... but I like people who are non-judgmental, ethical, charismatic yet humble and grounded (which means you know how to rock the party yet handle your business)...
Our famous 2 hour chat in the bathroom. love u CBM!
Hey it's Cowboy Mark!

Music:

ME AND PVD!
Music is the core of my existence! I used to make my own mixed tapes from recording my favorite songs on the radio in grammar school, then progressed to making cd's for my friends for our getaways, birthdays/holidays, and I'm finally branching out and learning some up-to-date technique (thanks to some of my dj friends).

My beautiful friend Frances...she's got skills,yo!
I respect every form of music because of its relation to peoples' cultures and the common thread it links in every corner of our globe. I love everything from Country to Electronica to Opera/Classical to Rock
My favorite band without question is
Depeche Mode!

but I also love U2, Pink Floyd, Gabriel and Dresden, Sasha and Digweed, The White Stripes, Paul Van Dyk, The Killers, Pearl Jam, Prince, Manu Chao, Armin van Buuren, Fiona Apple, Bob Marley, Fischerspooner, The Beatles, New Order Beethoven, Mozart, Coldplay, Radiohead, Jill Scott, The Cure, Green Day, Postal Service, Sarah McLachlan, A Tribe Called Quest, Grateful Dead, Duran Duran, Janes Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Tori Amos, Beck, Led Zeppelin, Dixie Chicks, George Strait, Outkast, Sheryl Crow, Erasure, Bright Eyes

Movies:

Check this cool vid out from last year's Earthdance in Balboa Park! Get Ready San Diego!!
I have always been fascinated with cinema and I want to get back into going to the movies on a regular basis. Living in LA, I would attend premieres/screenings and it was definitely exciting to be amongst the stars and have a little taste of the glitz and glamour. My most favorite films are musicals, foreign cinema, and indie films but it just depends on my mood. I try and watch all the Oscar-nominated films each year just so I can make my own judgment on who is most deserving on Oscar night! Here's a little sample of my most cherished movies: All About My Mother, Annie Hall, Being John Malkovich, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Chasing Amy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Giant, Heat, High Fidelity, L.A. Story, Legally Blonde, Life is Beautiful, Love Actually, Love and Basketball, Lost in Translation, Moulin Rouge, Napoleon Dynamite, Open Your Eyes, Pulp Fiction, Sliding Doors, Swingers, Talk to Her, The Big Lebowski, The English Patient, The Hudsucker Proxy, The Professional, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Traffic, Vertigo, Willy Wonka (original), Wizard of Oz, Women on TopMy favorite actors are: Audrey Hepburn, Don Cheadle, Ingrid Bergman, Johnny Depp, Jon Cusack, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman, Ralph Fiennes, Sean Penn, Uma Thurman and Will Ferrell cracks me up.

Books:

When I was a kid, my sister and I would spend our summers at the library and win contests for reading the most books...talk about nerds! Although I don't get to sit down with a good read as often as I'd like, I believe it is essential to feed the brain with intellect, history, and off-the-beaten path writings.Any good books to recommend? Some of my favorites: Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Alchemist, To Kill a Mockingbird, Da Vinci Code, Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Devil Wears Prada, Shakespeare, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Freckle Juice, Where the Wild Things Are, Charlotte's Web, and all of Dr. Suess and Shel Silverstein.

Heroes:

Reesie is a true f*in friend from beginning til...infinity. We like to play with wigs and care bears...grrr
Frida Kahlo, Gandhi, the women in my family, people who make themselves happy without depending on anyone!
