G-NOTE

G-Note is a violist, bumping Hip Hop on the Alto voice of string instruments. She learned ensemble music in school orchestras as early as age 9 on the violin, studying two years, and introduced to the viola, 14 years unstoppable.In '99 she stepped away from the influence of Beethoven and began playing radio jams; first inspired to try the classic bassline and harmonies of Dr. Dre's "Nuthin' But a G Thang" as they rap "1, 2, 3 into the 4..." She became familiar enough with the string sound that she can play notes by ear, playing a variety of music from Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Rock; adding improvisations of her own style. She wants to bring her talent to the game by performing with artists who are interested in bringing the astounding sound of a classical instrument to the urban scene.She established her game in the "City of Entertainment" in 2001 after high school. For exposure she performed on the Las Vegas Strip for donations to get her own viola, as throughout school she's borrowed instruments. The cops were her only interference to play in the streets as they stopped her, warning her that she can be taken to jail for begging/ panhandling. G-Note also performed with Vegas radio stations in the streets and in the studio playing the music on air for live radio play. She is now recognized as the only woman in Sin City bumping beats on the strings. You can hear G-Note bringing her sound at parties, playing mixes of the DJ's, influenced by their scratch cuts.
