About Me

Well I am 37 years old, I am married, I have a daughter, and two dogs. I work for one of the top 4 accounting firms as a LAN Engineer. I enjoy riding my motorcycle hanging out with family and friends and I lead a small ministry for my church which I have been a member of for 12 years.
I consider myself a want-to-be musician. I have one year of classical training in voice, and I am in the process of teaching myself to play the guitar and keyboards. I am a baritone and have been in the choir since elementary. In high school I was in the concert choir and show choir. In college I was in the concert choir and I took my classical training in collage. I use to be a member of our church choir Deeper Shade of Soul but the choir is not together any more. I am not singing in a group at this time so I sing with the congregation at church and in my car.
I love motorcycling. If it is nice out I am on the bike. Actually if it is not a thunder storm I am on the bike, a little rain never hurt. I will ride in 55 degree weather but I do not go any further then that since I do not have the gear for it at this time. I enjoy riding in the city but I prefer the country side or the mountains. I like to do a few long distance rides of 300 to 400 miles every now and then. One day I may attempt an Iron Butt ride. For those who do not know an Iron Butt ride is 1000 miles in one day. I am not in a club at this time I just ride with friends or by myself. I am always looking for new places to ride so if you know of one let me know.
As I mentioned earlier I lead a small ministry for my church. I am not on staff and I do not consider myself a bible scholar by any stretch. What I am is a man who believes in the Christ and who makes every effort to follow him and live by his teachings everyday. Some days I do well and some days I do not do so well. I am a work in progress and I probably will be until I leave this earth. We as a ministry help one another. We help one another stay faithful, we encourage one another and we even challenge one another. Most of all we are family and we love one another as such.
Well that is me in a nut shell. If you have any questions feel free to ask.Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds

I'd like to meet:

Cool peoples. You know, people that keep it real.

Music:

I like music by artists such as Speech, Prince, Erica Badu, Jill Scott, Jamiroquai, Paco De Lucia, Mos Def, LL Cool J, Maroon 5, Janet Jackson, Chris Botti, and a list of others. I mostly listen to jazz when I'm in the car. Sometimes I throw in Eminem or Ice Cube, and then I will jump to Norah Jones or Earth Wind and Fire. I just like good music. I mostly like music I can vibe to. Sometimes I just want to sit and be taken into the artist's work. I want to feel what they have to say through their music. I like to listen to artist who love making music and who are not in it for the money. Most of the stuff out there is crap and it's not about the music. It's about making a dollar. I believe that if you make good music the money will come.

In my car CD player now: Janet Jackson

ATL all day man!

Movies:

I watch a lot of movies but right now I would have to say Hotel Rowanda, Crash, Resident Evil I, II and III, Dawn of the Dead (Remake), anything by Quentin Tarantino are the movies I liked enough to add to my DVD collection. I also liked Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Shaolin Soccer, and Kung Fu Hustle. These movies have sub titles so if you are not in to reading your movie you may not like them. Old School movies that I like are School Daze, Do the Right Thing, Boyz in da Hood, and New Jack City.

New movie on my favorite list: Things We Lost in the Fire, and The Forbidden Kingdom

Television:

There are only a few shows that I make an effort to watch every week and those are Heros, Ugly Betty, Stargate Atlantis, The Game, and Scrubs. I also like Family Guy, The Boondocks, Drawn Together, Robot Chicken, Venture Bros., Mind of Mencia, all the Law and Orders, and BET Comic View. These shows I usually record and watch later.

Books:

I am really not a big reader. The books I have read are the Bible, Lost Books of Eden, New and Old Testament Apocrypha, and the Book of Enoch. Also I have in my collection The Lion Never Sleeps, Call to the Wise, Shinning like Stars, and Prepare to Answer. Fiction wise I have read Aliens, Three books based on the game Resident Evil, and the book based on the Kruger movie Dream Warriors. What was cool about Dream Warriors is that it has a whole back story on Fred Kruger leading up to the point that the towns people set him on fire. I thought Aliens the book was better than the movie.

Heroes:

My heroes are anyone who stands up for what is right, who are willing to help those who can't defend themselves, and do not see themselves as being better then anyone else.
