About Me

I'm Darth Smalls, better known as Jay Smalls, a Denim Demon and President of Turbojugend S.G.V. I'm a Rocker.I love all sorts of music ranging from the 1920's to today. Primarily that between 1956 and 1979 with a major emphasis on the mid-late 60's Garage/Psychedelic era. I enjoy kicking it with my good friends, any and all jugend members and pretty much any new faces I meet. I'm Left-Handed and I'm allergic to dairy. I play guitar and sing in Red Cavalier and I DJ on the side. I also play bass, drums and organ/piano/synths but not very well! Overall, I'm pretty easy going, so don't be afraid to ask me anything about myself...I usually don't get offended easily!

My Interests

Playing/Singing on stage, Guitars, Rock n' Roll, DJ'ing, Thrift Stores, Yard/Estate Sales, Organs/Synthesizers, Cafe Racers, Vintage Scooters, Record Collecting, Pretty much all things Vintage (primarily the 60s).

Music:

Definitely nothing pre-fab or mainstream! The Radio can kiss my ass...there are RARE exceptions, though. For the most part, Scandinavian Rock Bands, 60s Garage Rock/Soul and Psychedelic, 70s and 80s Punk, Ska/Reggae/Rocksteady, 70s Hard Rock, Surf and some Rockabilly. Jazz is a true passion of mine and I'm a HUGE Beatles fan. I'm also into a lot of "Indie" (ughhh, labels) bands and electronic stuff such as Make Up, Broadcast, Ladytron, Stereolab, Air, Fischerspooner, The Faint and so on. I'm kinda big on some 80s stuff but somewhat partial to what I like. Hell, I'm a DJ, I'm into a LOT of shit!

The Clean Life...

I've made the decision to quit drinking. I may stop all together or just DRASTICALLY cut back...especially if I'm driving...duh!But for now, it needs to stop 100%! I've done it last year for a month.....
