BooKing Rebellion's Enclave
Rebellion's Enclave is an alternative rock band from Portugal with influences of bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Extreme, Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and other great rock bands.
In 2003 two longtime friends − Filipe (Guitar) and Samuel (Drums) − joined forces with the vision to form a band.
Seeing that they harmonised perfectly together, not only as friends, but also as musicians, they invited Pedro (Bass) to join them and started making music, at first without vocals.
Two months later they chose two of the tracks they had composed and recorded a demo with the purpose of finding a vocalist.
This not being an easy task, they continued composing tracks without knowing what kind of voice would be part of their music.
After some time they met Paulo (Vocals) and gave him their demo so he could listen to it and try his voice over their music.
He liked their music so much, that they joined to play a few days later for the first time. The track "My Role" was the first ever to be played as a group− it sounded great!!!
Rebellions Enclave were finally born.
As the chemistry of the band yielded some very interesting results, they began to play incessantly. Paulo brought some rock and grunge influences into their music and set the vocals for the tracks that had been composed so far. Together the four guys − now Rebellion's Enclave − wrote and composed some new songs and now had enough quality material to record their first album. When they felt that they were ready for this, they invited Chico Martins to produce it and in March of 2004 started the pre−production process. Three months later they went to the studio and their first album saw the light of day. In addition to the 11 original tracks, a cover version of the Moody Blues hit single "Nights in White Satin" was included. It was Chico who told them the great importance and significance of having a cover version on their album and Nights in White Satin was a piece of music they could relate to.
